Earth Hour~

8:30 PM

All right! It's time for Earth Hour here in Honolulu! Well, the mayor said that he's turning off the lights at the capitol in honour of Earth Hour, and he's encouraging residents to turn off their lights at home. The purpose of Earth Hour is to raise awareness about global warming by turning off the lights (and maybe electricity) in your house whenever it's 8:30 PM your local time. I participated in Earth Hour last year, and it was very fun. To kick off Earth Hour, I saw fireworks from outside our balcony. Right now, I am typing what I have to say (just for you, my lovely readers :D) and listening to my iPod. What am I listening to right now, you ask? I'm listening "Writing on the Walls" by Underoath. I turned on one of my flashlights for my room light and I dimmed the backlight on my computer to the lowest without turning the screen black. Well, I'm going to go sketch something. I'll take a picture of it and post it up here later. I'll be back on after Earth Hour is over to tell you my thoughts about it. :D

9:31 PM

Well...I'm sad that Earth Hour is over. This is actually the second time I participated in the event. The entire time I was sketching something entirely with a mechanical pencil. Now, my entire right hand is covered in pencil marks! Oh well. I promised you a drawing, so now I give you a sketching. (look below) Something about that, I drew and coloured it all in the dark! (Well, using a book light) Earth Hour was fun! It was very fun drawing just using a book light. I'm probably going to do that more often! It took me about two hours to do that, and I turned on the lights in my room right after I finished. Well, until tomorrow, good night everyone! :{D
